The key to rebranding this American icon was to keep his heritage intact yet provide context for a new generation of consumers. I commisioned Kevin Newman, a very talented and patient illustrator to draw the final art. Over the course of a year, we worked closely on perfecting the Colonel, finding the balance between retro and contemporary. He got a more youthful and energetic appearance, as well as an apron signifying his passion for home-style cooking.
